Recipe | Easy Eggless Custard Cake

Custard powder used in the recipe gives a light texture to this egg less cake.The idea of using custard powder in baking a cake came from Aparna's blog.
You can replace the custard powder with cornflour.

  • 1 ½ cups All purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup vanilla flavored custard powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
Method; Add flour, baking powder, custard powder and raisins in a large bowl and combine.
Preheat oven at 180°C and grease individual baking tins.
Whisk butter and sugar in another bowl till sugar is dissolved.
Add butter-sugar mixture, vinegar, and milk to the bowl of flour.
Fold all the ingredients to combine.
Pour the batter into greased baking tins and bake for 20-25 minutes or till done.
