Weekend is the most awaited time for my family who look forward to something crisp to munch upon during the evenings. And I like to experiment with various food ingredients to come up with something new and exciting from the normal snack recipes I usually make. This one is yet another scrumptious treat from my kitchen for you.
Ingredients;
(makes 10-12 pieces)
Method; Soak soya granules in water for about 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze the granules to remove excess water from it.
Boil and mash a small potato or use potato flakes as shown in the picture. Dice the green chilly finely.
Take a large vessel and add the cooked rice into it. Add all the ingredients except oil in the cooked rice. Mix and mash all the ingredients to make a soft dough from it.
Make small balls from the above dough, flatten them a bit and keep them in a plate.
Heat oil in a wok and add these balls in a batch of 2-3 into it. Deep fry till they turn golden brown in color.
Take out from the oil and keep them on a tissue paper. Serve these crispy snack of rice and soya granules with tomato sauce or any chutney of your choice.
